Linksys Wireless-G
Access Point #WAP54G
$67.00
- Set up a high-speed Wireless-G (802.11g)
network in your home or office
- Data rates up to 54Mbps -- 5 times faster
than Wireless-B (802.11b)
- Also interoperates with Wireless-B
networks (at 11Mbps)
- Advanced wireless security with WPA,
128-bit WEP encryption, and MAC filtering
Wireless-G is the upcoming 54Mbps wireless
networking standard that's almost five times faster than the
widely deployed Wireless-B (802.11b) products found in homes,
businesses, and public wireless hotspots around the country — but
since they share the same 2.4GHz radio band, Wireless-G devices
can also work with existing 11Mbps Wireless-B equipment.
The Linksys Wireless-G Access Point lets
you connect Wireless-G or Wireless-B devices to the network. Since
both standards are built in, you can protect your investment in
existing 802.11b infrastructure, and migrate your network clients
to the new screaming fast Wireless-G standard as your needs grow.
To protect your data and privacy, the
Wireless-G Access Point can encrypt all wireless transmissions,
and supports the industrial-strength security of WPA. The MAC
Address filter lets you decide exactly who has access to your
wireless network. Configuration is a snap with the web
browser-based configuration utility.
Linksys Compact
Wireless-G Broadband Router WRT54GC - Wireless router + 4-port
switch - EN, Fast EN, 802.11b, 802.11g
The
Linksys Compact Wireless-G Broadband Router is really three devices
in one small box. First, there's the Wireless Access Point, which
lets you connect both screaming fast Wireless-G (802.11g at 54Mbps)
and Wireless-B (802.11b at 11Mbps) devices to the network. There's
also a built-in 4-port full-duplex 10/100 Switch to connect your
wired-Ethernet devices together. Connect four PCs directly, or
attach more hubs and switches to create as big a network as you
need. Finally, the Router function ties it all together and lets
your whole network share a high-speed cable or DSL Internet
connection. Once your computers are connected to the Router and the
Internet, they can communicate with each other too, sharing a
printer, digital music, picture and document files, and multi-player
or on-line games. To protect your data and privacy, the Wireless-G
Broadband Router can encode all wireless transmissions with WEP or
industrial-strength WPA Personal encryption. The Router can serve as
a DHCP Server, has a powerful SPI firewall to protect your PCs
against intruders and most known Internet attacks, and supports VPN
pass-through. Configuration is a snap with the web browser-based
configuration utility. And the tiny form factor fits any home or
desktop. With the Linksys Compact Wireless-G Broadband Router at the
center of your home or office network, you can share a high-speed
Internet connection, files, printers, and multi-player games with
the flexibility, speed, and security you need!
Linksys Dual-Band
Wireless A+G Access Point #WAP55AG
| The Dual-Band Wireless A+G
Access Point actually contains two separate wireless
connectivity radio transceivers, which support all three popular
wireless networking specifications. The first transceiver uses
the 2.4GHz radio band, supporting both the widely-used and
inexpensive Wireless-B (802.11b) standard at 11Mbps, and the
new, almost five times faster, Wireless-G (draft 802.11g) at
54Mbps. The second radio operates in the 5GHz band, and supports
Wireless-A (802.11a) networking, also at 54Mbps. Since the two
radios operate in different bands, they can work simultaneously,
blanketing your wireless zone with high-speed bandwidth. |
With the Linksys Dual-Band
Wireless A+G Access Point, you'll have the best of all worlds --
Wireless-B for legacy compatibility, and both Wireless-G and
Wireless-A for high-speed access.
